Hua Chenyu at Zhejiang TV Mid-Year Music Gala 2019

A small portion of Hua Chenyu’s 2019 Mars Concert tickets will be sold on Chinese fan service app Owhat at 21:00 (UTC+8) on July 18. Owhat has helpfully provided a test page where users can rehearse the ticket buying process in advance. The bulk of the tickets will still be sold on Damai at 14:07 (UTC+8) on July 20.

For those of you who do not hold a Chinese ID and want to buy tickets for Hua Chenyu’s 2019 Mars Concert, you can try contacting the various branches of Hua Chenyu Global Fan Club. Members of the fan club mostly communicate via QQ (a Chinese messaging app) and Weibo (the Chinese equivalent of Twitter).

On July 13, Hua Chenyu performed “Heaven’s Equal (齐天)” at Zhejiang TV’s Mid-Year Music Gala seated in a throne stabbed full of As-You-Will Gold-Banded Cudgels, the Monkey King’s weapon of choice. (Throne design has never been the same since Game of Thrones.) The song was among the winners of the Ten Best Original Songs of the Year Award.

In a short video released on Friday, Hua Chenyu made a mess of himself when challenged to apply red nail polish. We’re not sure if he was trying to reenact scenes from the Saw movie, or get creative with his handprint art book.

Earlier in the week, Hua Chenyu Studio’s official Weibo released a video of Hua solving a 4×4 Rubik’s Cube.

Also, here’s a recent interview with Hua Chenyu with some solid questions.

Last but not least, here’s the link to this week’s episode of The Coming One Season 3. This episode is the equivalent of a typical big-budget episode after last week’s bottle episode. The deliberate contrast set the stage for a dramatic caterpillar-to-butterfly transformation of the contestants and yielded some truly heartfelt performances.
